Free Metal Detector - Stud Finder and EMF Meter in One! App Reviews

Saved me a trip to the hardware store! This app is great for detecting metal through dry wall.

I was actually skeptic of this app but it does only go off when metal is near it!

Pretty good for steel, but not aluminum so much. Magnets seem to blow the numbers off the charts. Pretty good for something that is free.

This has got to be one of the most usefull apps ever. It helped me find my lost throwing knife that was barried a bit underground but it was out of touch and sight. Overall it works and is awesome

I am impressed. It helps to know precisely where the magnetometer is on your particular iOS device for accurate location determination.

I have it on my iPad it really helps and now on my iPhone I love it!!!!!!:):)

Im at my sons house last night to help him with a TV wall mount. While were trying to position the wall bracket, I asked if he had a stud finder. "No" was the response. So I pull out my iPhone and head to the App Store -- certain that this would be the time that Id find out that there is actually NOT "an app for that." To my surprise there were several. Some paid, but a few free, too. After checking out app descriptions and some of the reviews, I downloaded "Metal Detector". It worked great, in spite of my doubt about the iPhones ability to find something solid to secure the bracket for the TV. IT WORKED GREAT!! I like the "density scale" (my term) that moved into the red going across a stud. I gained some confidence in its accuracy as it detected 3 studs, 16" apart -- a standard for construction. We got the bracket up and TV mounted without any problems. And my license plate "APP4THT" remains accurate.

Its works but CRASHES on my iphone 4 ios 6.1.3 please fix and I will give it 5 stars other then that it works its great app but please fix it .

Does not do a darn thing.

Had to locate property boundary markers placed years ago. This app worked perfectly. I knew the general area, but the app alarmed right over the spot. Dug down through a little grass and soil and the boundary markers are once again visible. Great job and easy to use.

Finally some metal detector app works

Keeps crashing on 5s.

Although some of the reviews give high marks to this app, it didnt work for me. Unlike a true stud finder, it can only sense nails and not the stud itself. For some reason it found very few nails for me. Maybe its better used for really finding metal and use as stud finder is secondary.
